TEXAS Community Development Block Grant

The City of Queen City was awarded a Texas Community Development Block Grant, in the amount of $500,000. The project will include rehabilitation of the 100,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, which involves repairs, sandblasting, recoating of the interior and exterior, and the addition of a new QC logo. Also included in the project is the replacement of the pumps and motors with three new high-service pumps and motors at the City Well. The new water pump project is complete. The tower repairs, sandblasting and painting are underway.
