NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON BUDGET
The City Council for the City of Queen City, Texas will hold a public hearing on the 2026-2027 Fiscal Budget on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 5:45 p.m. at City Hall, 601 Loop 236, Queen City, TX. The meeting will be held for the purpose of receiving community input on the Budget, which will cover the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2026 and ending September 30, 2027. This budget will raise less revenue from property taxes than last year's budget by an amount of $42,9381, which is a 6.78 percent decrease from last year's budget. The property tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year is $9,670.19. City Hall is accessible to the disabled. A copy of the proposed Budget is available for viewing during normal business hours at 601 Loop 236, Queen City, TX.
PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Queen City intends to participate in the Texas Community Development Block Grant program through the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). These services are being solicited to assist the City in its application and administration of the TxCDBG Grant Agreement, if awarded, to support the 2027 Community Development Fund, one or more projects classified as regional first priority (water and sewer improvements; housing rehabilitation)
Accordingly, the City is separately soliciting (A) proposals from Administrative Consultants for Application Preparation and Project Administration and (B) qualifications from Texas-Registered Engineers to provide engineering services associated to Application Preparation and Project Implementation. Firms and/or individuals should have past experience with federally funded programs. Please submit a proposal of services and/or a statement of qualifications to:

Submittals shall be received by the City/County no later than 4pm on September 4, 2026. The same firm will not be awarded contracts to provide both services. The City/County reserves the right to negotiate with any and all individuals or firms that submit proposals, as per the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act and the Uniform Grant and Contract Management Standards. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns, Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Veteran Business Enterprises and Women Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit proposals.
